8/1 thurs is a DAY TO REMEMBER!!!
firstly, there was one girl who had just came to work on 5/1 mon, she had worked in the company for about 9 months before... at first, i thought that she was a happy-go-lucky girl as she was always smiling, she is also out-going and talks to everyone... she will ask people if they had taken their lunch for example... i was glad to know such people as i am also new in the company... had lunch with her one time on thurs 8/1 ... another colleague and i chatted with her and found out she had many work experiences such as sales, hotel, admin, accounting... she told us about her experiences and i thought that she was a person who always strives to upgrade herself... she is still taking courses now even though she is over the age... i admire these people...
BUT...
on thurs before lunch, i chatted with her when doing our stuff... we chatted on a topic and i said something that we should take care of our body, then she said she SMOKED... wah. i was shocked... then she say 'everyone only can have one life, do not need to worry that much, who knows, one day some healthy people may just get sick' . then i thought ' she is a person who thinks that there is no hope in life...' there is another incident where we were preparing some drinks (coffee) in the pantry, then she said she drank a lot of coffee and i told her too much coffee is bad for health... and there she goes again. saying similiar words... i 'stop and stare' .... haiz.
on fri 9/1, other colleagues told me that something bad happened to her when she was working in the company for the 9 months... perhaps, that make her seem so depressed, having no hopes in the future...
the moral of the story is really "don't judge a person by his appearance" , one may be happy-go-lucky on the outside and depressed, lonely in the inside...
another thing that happened on thurs 8/1 is the colleague that started work on the same day as me had been retrenched... she tried to explain things to the boss but the boss didn't want to listen... she is slow, talks on the phone.... she said no one teaches her anything and she had to keep asking others... at first, i felt unfair for her, because newcomers are to be trained... then whatever she said i seem to believe everything... she said the boss only had 2 days to watch her work , and another colleague was on leave for quite a number of days and she was told that she was retrenched when the boss had just came back from the leave... there is another earlier post saying about how unfair is this... skip that.
HOWEVER...
one day, the person in the first story( A ) told me that the person in the second story ( B ) should have known the basics in her position and the salary she is taking... she should have known matching, coding... then it dawned on me, i was so naive to believe what people say... then i thought B was actually pushing all the blame to the boss and the colleague... i am not sure if this is true... there was quite a number of times where i told B to tell the boss that the colleague didn't really trained B and had only a couple of days to watch her work... but B just do not want to tell the boss... maybe she knows herself.
she messaged me something saying ' just learn something, know how to communicate and carry people, learn to be strong too , or else you will be backstabbed by others '... hmm. good advice? i will.
the moral of the story is we should reflect on what we had done and said once in a while... whether we had given a thought for others. whether we were wrong. whether we were strong and brave to admit our mistakes...
that's all...
more to come in the following posts...
